Last summer (2016) I traveled through the United States of America for 2 months. I had been there before, and have always been fascinated by this country. The immense landscapes where you can drive for hours without seeing anyone, beautiful nature and het national parks. The enthusiastic and hospitable people and the typical look of American houses. I think I could happily live in my own ‘American dream’ for quite some time.
So that’s what I decided to do: I brought my sketchbook and drew all the things that I saw and fascinated me. I collected little chitchats, patterns, nature, people, food, houses, animals and colors. These little drawings are my view of this beautiful country that I hope to visit again very soon.
The result is a limited edition book that was on an exhibition during Dutch Design Week 2016 and at an exhibition at Hoxton Amsterdam, in November 2016. Please send me an email if you would like to order a copy.

I designed the identity and illustrations for ‘Het Ruigoord Manifestival’. The design is inspired by the map of the festival area, using bright colors and fun and festive elements.
Het Ruigoord Manifestival an annual festival to celebrate and honor Ruigoord, and to keep it alive for future generations. The identity was used for GIFs, posters, banners and the website.
I made several illustrations for ‘Indieboekie’; a tiny magazine published by Paradiso. In this magazine you can find the best festival and concert tips during the summer of 2016.
It was spread all around Amsterdam in train stations, coffee bars, music halls and universities.
Posters, banners and other (print) work for the club nights of Next Monday’s Hangover. Next Monday’s Hangover is organizing four big events every year, with a focus on quality electronic music.
Because the moon is their logo and inspiration, it is the centre of every poster and banner. Depending on the season or music genre it has a different theme, such as a Africa, Berlin or galaxy.

Identity for Oranjebloesem. Oranjebloesem is an annually festival on Kingsday hosted by NGHTDVSN & Next Monday’s Hangover. Because the Kingsday-madness in the canals of Amsterdam is not making everybody happy, Oranjebloesem is a festival with quality (techno) music and creativity far from the city centre. It takes place at ‘Blijburg beach’ and the design was inspired by the serene atmosphere of the beach, waiting for something to happen (a big party).
The identity was used for GIFs, posters, banners and several elements at the festival.
For coffee company I illustrated a ‘Back to School’ poster for the ‘2 for 1’ advertisement. The poster was spread all around the Netherlands at all the coffee company locations.
